The AHIMA invites you to submit an abstract proposal for the 2010 FDI and AOE annual conference to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana in July 23-28. This is a year of rapid changes in health information and technology with multiple national initiatives that will have a major impact on curriculum content and faculty development. The goal of the 2010 FDI/AOE is to provide a forum of innovation in health information management education, and to support research and best practice by providing opportunities for faculty to learn from each other at all academic levels. Abstract proposals will be peer-reviewed by members of the Educational Strategy Committee (ESC) and other faculty volunteers.
The 2010 AOE/FDI conference theme is Get Jazzed in New Orleans: Renew, Refresh, and Revitalize. The focus of the AOE/FDI conferences will be on preparing curriculum to meet national initiative changes, encouraging students to think critically, and preparing faculty to lead the way in health IT reform.
This conference routinely attracts more than 300 faculty members from throughout the country and internationally, and represents all academic levels in health information education.
